What is the least expensive way to ship freight such as clothes, books, small furniture and appliances?
Which is least expensive: UPS ground, Air, train, or bus? I am relocating from California to Texas. Renting a U-haul truck is very expensive considering the gas and the rental itself.

the very least expensive way is USPS, parcel post......goes by truck, takes probably 2 weeks for the clothes and appliances.......even cheaper is books that go "book rate"....
Dont know about small furniture.......but money sure travells easily..sell there buy new ?
