How often does the freight train go through Carrollton Texas on the tracks that cross Josey Lane just south of Keller Springs Road? I think it's the BNSF line.
Answer: Don't know about Carrollton but here in Austin, the Union Pacific runs 3 or 4 freights a day - maybe even more than that.
We also have Amtrack on the same tracks.
And then there is a branch line operation that runs 4 or 5 freights a day on the old Southern Pacific Giddings to Llano division.
You are going to have to just listen for trains and get a sense of how much activity there is.
The BNSF is a big operation. But the rule is to expect trains on any track going any direction at any time.
