Process Documentation & Development Analyst JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Analyze the processes and process flows in all departments, sub-departments and functional areas by utilizing business knowledge and analysis skills.
- Develop ISO-acceptable standards for the content and format of all policies, procedures and processes within each department, sub-department and functional area.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams of the general processes in each area and of each critical function.
- Create a corporate policy and procedure manual using a consistent format for all departments.
- Publish the manual hard copy and on the Viking Intranet with hot-links for usability.
- Analyze and document changes and updates as they occur.
- Assist departments as needed in the development of policies, procedures, processes and training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- In-depth knowledge of Viking's business environment, including organization structure, strategic initiatives, general process flows, and opportunities to identify and implement process improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of policy and procedure documentation standards.
- Basic knowledge of ISO certification standards.
- Working understanding of a variety of analysis techniques.
- Working knowledge of mainframe/PC interfaces.
- Working knowledge of terminal office and operating procedures.
- Working knowledge of business process analysis and process flow diagram creation and analysis.
EXPERIENCE:
- Three years experience in an analytical, technical, process definition, quality processes, supervisory or management position, or in a Viking business or Information Technology unit in a similar role, including more than one year developing business requirements or supporting multiple processes.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience - desirable. Advance degree with related course-work - desirable.
